This video album is composed of photographs taken by women patients at Panzi Hospital in their first photography class with BuildaBridge. Artist on Call Shem Akinyi travelled from Kenya to be a part of the BuildaBridge project with WAMU/Women in War Zones. The women gave their permission for their images to be shown publicly. They are in need of cameras. Two borrowed cameras were used with 25 women who worked in groups.  Following are photos of the class development.

Shem Ogweno and Dr. Nix-Early review the curriculum

This was the first time for the women to hold a camera.

There were only 3 cameras for 25 women.  They took turns to photograph.

The next day, they were instructed in composition.

Women (all HIV+), nurses, and children participated.
